Hello all.

The cl's have been made aware of the problem where some users are not able to log in. When the user enters their user name and password, they are directed to a search page of some sort. I had this problem as well, until I got rid of a piece of spywear called Backdoor.Bifrose. Norton caught it, and apparently AVG catches it as well, so you may want to run a virus scan to attempt to get rid of this. If this solves your problem, please post your results here.

Thank you,

Scott

Thanks Scott. This has happened to me a couple times, but I restarted the computer and all was well. So I'll run a virus scan now just in case. Thanks for the tip.

I've been having this problem continuously since Tuesday. JJ did renew the domain now, and, wow, it's working for me ... for now.
Knock on wood ...

When you do a virus scan, I'd do it in safe mode, or if you're using avast, it would be a good idea to do a boot-time scan, and just tell it to delete any infections rather than prompt you all the time. You could easily get this worm from anywhere, because it atempted to infiltrate my system when I went to www.thehardstuff.net, that's the station I broadcast with, but luckily it was caught. So always do a scan at least once a week for both virus and spiware.

How do you run a scan in safe mode? You have no drivers loaded, so how do you find where to go?

Perhaps you run it using the command line?

Clarification. For the most part, the login troubles were due to a domain that the Zone relies on for DNS info, not being renewed. This should be resolved.
